It's time for the 3rd Annual {Fall Favorite Things Swap}

Although my head is spinning with photo sessions, editing and other business stuff...

I couldn't pass up doing the Fall Swap! It is my most favorite time of the year!!

Post it on your blog and/or Facebook page, and spread the word!

The more swappers we have, the merrier it will be!

{HOW IT WORKS}

• first and last name
• mailing address
• blog address/website (if you have one) AND/OR Facebook profile link
• short snippet (a few sentences) about yourself

* Please note: You DO NOT have to have a blog to participate in this swap.

HURRY!!! You have until SATURDAY, October 1st at 10 p.m. to email me with your information, if you would like to participate! On October 2nd, you will receive an email from me with your swap partner's information. Then, you can start gathering your own favorite fall stuff to mail to them!!

Spend around $10-20 on your Fall goodies. If you love it, share it with you swap partner!. It might just become one of their favorite Fall things too! Your favorite: lip gloss, candles, Fall recipes, herbal tea, mug, scarf, etc. etc. You can also include a little note about why you love the things you've included.

Packages for the swap should be postmarked by FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21st at the latest.

Once you receive your fun little package in the mail...if you have a blog, you can post pictures of your goodies and THANK your swap partner!

IF you have a blog, you are welcome to post information about my swap!  Be sure to link back to this post on my blog. You can also post about it on your Facebook page! Just link this post on your wall!

The official start of Fall is tomorrow...so come and join us for the swap to kick-off Fall!

Now that Bluegrass is over, I am very ready for all the things I look forward to about Fall to begin!

I guess I am my father's daughter...I don't know what it means to be bored. 

This is my business' busy time of year, but I just can't pass up hosting a swap that celebrates my FAVORITE time of the year!!
The first day of Fall is September 21st, so let's get to plannin'.

*In your Blogger design page, create a new "gadget" (probably put it in your sidebar)

  then copy ALL of the text from the box below my button (at the top of this post)
*Paste that text into the content box
*Hit "save" and viola! You have the button on your sidebar!

Winter Swap!

I'd tossed around the idea of having a Christmas Swap a few times, but I've been so busy with weddings and custom Christmas card orders, I decided I didn't have time to host one this year. So, I was thrilled when a nice lady (Brenna) emailed me for advice on hosting a swap! I was happy to give her my unofficial "instructions for hosting a swap," and I even designed this Mr. linky swap button (that's my technical term for it) for her.

I met Brenna's cousin, Leslie, through the Fall Swap I hosted. I've enjoyed reading her blog Cow Pies & Mud Pies ever since. Leslie actually lives in the same town as I do. We've never met in person before, but it's been fun getting to know her through her blog.

A little reminder for all my Fall Favorite Things Swap ladies...try to have your partner's goodies all packed up and postmarked by October 31st. AND, once you open your package, post some pictures of your Fall treats for everyone to see :)

I just finished packing up my partners goodies into a little brown box. I can't wait for her to get it! I had a great time finding things and I hope she'll enjoy them all just as much as I do this time of year. The weather's gotten chilly here in Kansas the past few days, so I'm really in the Fall spirit!

Favorite Things Swap...the goods!

HOW EXCITING!!! It's so fun to come home from work on a Monday and have an unexpected package on your front porch! I didn't recognize the sender and I couldn't figure out what it was until I opened it and found the sweet note!

It was a box of someones *favorite things* and they were sharing them with ME! My swap partner was Rebekah in Texas. She sent me more than a few of her favorite things and I love them ALL!

So, when I signed up for this swap via email the first of June I was so excited!! But...I never heard anything back on who I was partnered up with. I knew that hundreds of bloggers were participating, so I just figured my email got lost in the shuffle, and I would have to wait till next time to join in. THEN, this package shows up at my door and I feel awful! I got all this fun stuff, but I didn't have to send a package to anyone. Of course it wasn't right, so I emailed Kelly, the swap organizer. Come to find out, SPAM had gotten the message. It went right to my spam folder all those weeks ago and I never knew! So, she resent it and now I have Rebekah's info, so I can send her an awesome package too!! Sorry it'll be late Rebekah...darn spam! But, it's on it's way SOON! Stay tuned, I'll be sure to post some pics of the favorite things I'm sending her!

it's really quite simple: as a participant, you will be asked to choose at least three objects (i don't think anyone would mind if you decide to send more) that are some of YOUR favorite things to send to your partner... maybe it's an apron you made, your new favorite book, or that favorite flavor of lip gloss. be creative & most importantly have fun with it! objects can be new or vintage, bought or handmade... just remember, it is best to send something the you'd be pleased & excited to receive yourself. ready to join the fun? please e-mail your particulars to accordingtokelly@yahoo.com. sign-ups will be open until friday, june 6th... so get your friends involved! upon receiving your "rsvp" i will send out a confirmation email, if you don't hear from me, email me again, sometime emails can get lost & i don't want anyone left out in the cold!
