Barrett and I wore our BLUE, and hoped that one of my BFE friends would finally have a BOY!

We were so excited to find out that they WERE!!

And now...the sweet little baby boy is here!

I did enjoy every second of his newborn shoot on Wednesday morning, though! He wins the award for BEST newborn I've ever shot! It took me about 30 minutes of snuggling, patting and rocking (this was complete torture for me, as you can imagine) to get him sleeping. But, once he was out...he was OUT .... O-U-T, out! I moved that little guy into a hundred positions, took hats on and off of him, took off his diaper, and he just kept snoozin'. Another reason I love him so much already!

I am swamped with editing from sessions over the last couple weeks, but I couldn't resist doing just one to show Megan and Brent. This is one of my favorites!! Megan always has the cutest Fall decorations, and they made the perfect subtle background! The basket was from our friend, Audra! It was just the right size for Cal! Thanks, Audra!!

Welcome to this world, Callum!! You are one very loved little man.

I am so excited that Barrett will have another little boy to play with at all the BFE gatherings, 

and I can't wait to watch you grow!

Baby Mason::Newborn

I was honored last month, when an old friend ask me to do a newborn session with her precious baby boy. Rachel's little man, Mason, was just over a week old when I captured these {sweet} images.

Remember the images from baby Sutton's session a few weeks ago? Well, Sutton and Mason are cousins! Thieir mommies are sisters...how fun that they will get to grow up together! I was excited to see that the boys were dressed in matching outfits when I showed up for Mason's session, so I took advantage of that! They are so adorable, and I couldn't believe how much Sutton had already changed!

Congrats, Rachel and Kevin, and thanks so much for the honor of photographing your new addition! You two are going to be amazing parents, and Mason is one lucky little fella! I'm excited to see how much he's grown, when we do your family portraits in November!

Sweet little Avery Mae:: Sneak Peek

A few favorites from my session with Avery Mae. She was 10 days old when I photographed her at her home. Her nursery was so cozy, and I was amazed to find out that grandma made all of her bedding. I had fun including her parents in some of the shots too. They are so proud of their baby girl. Thank you to the {W} family for letting me capture the beauty of your new family. I look forward to watching Miss Avery grow.

Baby Sutton::Sneak Peek

I had a newborn session this morning with this {adorable} little two week old! Baby Sutton was such a good little model. It's best to photograph newborns in the first couple weeks. I was afraid we wouldn't have much luck keeping him sleepy and easy to mold, since we were getting close to the three week mark, but he did great!

I'm having fun going through all of the images while Barrett naps. There are so many I LOVE, but these are three favorites I've come across so far. Everything is beautiful in color AND black and white. I guess his mama will be the one with the hard decisions!
