What will it BEE? {baby #2 reveal party}

WHAT WILL IT BEE?

I have been planning and looking forward to this party for awhile now.  After being sick for so long, it was the first thing that really put spark in me and got me excited about the baby! AND, I do love to plan a party :) Yup, Hubby still thinks I'm nuts with all the details. I searched the web for theme ideas. I knew I didn't want to do anything pink or blue, and I loved the bee idea! If this was another boy, it was my last chance to do something kinda girly for a party! Not that the theme was girly, but a few of the decorations (tissue blossoms, for example) were frilly and fun and girly!!

So, with all that planning and excitement, you can imagine the sheer PANIC on my face when we got to the doctor at 8am for our 8:15 ultrasound, and the sweet little nurse at the counter told us "I have some bad news." Our ultrasound tech had a family emergency and was in Nebraska. I felt horrible for her and her family. Then me and my extremely full bladder went back to panicking.  I had 20+ people coming to my house that evening, tons of food ready to be cooked, and desserts to pickup! Eek!

Long story short, we were able to get an appointment at the hospital at 10:30am that same day for the big sono! Whew! I was disappointed that our usual tech wouldn't be able to do it. She's a family friend, she's the one that did our ultrasounds with Barrett and the first with this baby. She's super sweet, and a Nebraska fan...I mean really, need I say more!?! BUT I was just glad we could still see our baby that day. We were all anxious, and of course there was the party!!

We had our ultrasound, saw our sweet baby, and got confirmation on a gender!! Everything looked great. The tech looked at it for almost an hour!! And we left beaming!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to my sweet friend, Sara, for coming to the party and capturing all the details and moments I couldn't. It was so nice to not even have my camera out! I took a few with my phone, but the rest of these are all her. WE LOVE YOU, Sara!!!

{big brother was soooo excited to open that box of balloons}

We took a few family pics before the guests started to arrive....

Then Barrett welcomed our guests and had them make their guesses...

Once all the guests were there, we gathered outside so Barrett could open the box and release the balloons to reveal PINK or BLUE!!!

We had a lot of wrong guesses :)

Then we ate taco soup, lots of desserts & celebrated!!

THANK YOU to all our family and friends that came to celebrate with us!
We are so excited to welcome another little boy to our family!! Now I'm just enjoying this view every morning when I come down the stairs.....BLUE =)
