Lollipop, Lollipop...

Oh, Lolli-Lollipop!
{smmaaak}

While I was at the front door getting the mail yesterday...
Barrett climbed UP onto the dining room table and found a Tootsie Pop!

By the time I got to him, he had already started unwrapping it,
so I figured I'd let him lick on it for a little while.

He LOVED it!

In a matter of seconds, the front of his shirt was soaking wet, and he had cherry slobber all over everything!!

Gotta love those Tootsie Pops! Brings back memories of the Mini-Golf my parents used to own. I worked there during the summers of my high school years (most of the time, with my friend Amber). We always had big 'ol clear containers FULL of Tootsie Pops that sat on the counter. 10 cents each. If you don't already know this about me...I love being nostalgic!

Sunflower Fields

After seeing a post on Audra's blog, I decided we'd take advantage of their sunflower fields in bloom and try and get some pictures. I put Barrett in his cute little plaid shirt and we went to pick up Mimi, Kylie and Emmy. We got out to the sunflower field after 5:30, but the sun was still pretty high and it was HOT! What happened to that cool weather we'd had for the last week?

Barrett was not a fan of the sunflowers. He didn't want to stand by them, didn't want to walk around in them, didn't want to have his picture taken by them...really, he didn't want anything but his Mimi!

This boy LOVES his Mimi!

I {heart} Faces: Back to School

I'm participating in another Challenge at I {heart} Faces...
Week 35: "Back to School" Photo Challenge

I didn't sleep well last Thursday night. I was nervous and my belly hurt.

Friday morning would be Barrett's first day at Kid's Day In (KDI). KDI is a half day, Christian based child care program that takes place every Friday from 9am-1pm at our church. It is for children ages six months to five years. The children get to participate in crafts, music, Bible stories, recreation and interaction with other kids. The mommies get to enjoy a little time for themselves.

Barrett looked like such a sweet little school boy, standing outside the back door with his lunch bag. My heart ached at the thought of leaving him...but I did it. More pictures, and the story of how that went later.

Go check some of the other "Back to School" photos and enter your own!
