I was NOT on the ball with party planning this year.
It sneaks up on my every year, with Christmas and New Years just before, and I usually design and print the invites before Christmas.
But this year, it really got by me! I knew I wanted to do a dinosaur theme, but I didn't get the invites designed til the last minute.
I cruised the web for ideas, and found WAY too many cute things!

It was overwhelming...and my hubby thinks I'm crazy when I go into party-planning mode.
So, I really kept it all pretty simple. He doesn't think so, but I did!
The dino cake was the most fun!!
My cake lady (the lady that makes all the smash cake for my client's 1yr sessions)
made us a small white cake, so that we could decorate it ourselves.
I love coming up with cake ideas, and Justin always makes my vision a reality! He's so talented!
All I did was bake the cupcakes and place all the rocks.
We used this site {A Baked Creation} as a tutorial.

Some more of the party goodies...

{DINO CHOW}
pretzels, chocolate-covered raisins, peanut butter chips & a gummy worm
Thanks to my sister-in-law for helping me cut out all the cupcake toppers and the banner on her Cricut!
Love that thing!!
AND the best part... The Birthday Boy!!!

I need sleep...
more of the party coming later!!

I love everything about this party!!! =) AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteWow! Totally awesome party! :) The cake topper and all the goodies were just too cute! :)
ReplyDeleteLaura, what an amazing job! You could definitely do kids parties as part of your business (as if you're not busy enough as it is!)
ReplyDeleteawesome! I think I now know what my daughters 3rd birthday theme is going to be. Girl LOVES dino's! Change a few colors and add a bow to the dinosaurs heads and i'm good to go.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration! I used the party favor as the idea!
