Hi Little Bear! It's actually not Monday...not even Tuesday! It's Wednesday, June 11, 2008. Mommy had a busy weekend and a busy start to the week, so I'm just now getting around to writing my letter to you. I didn't want to miss a week, so better late than never!
This weekend Mommy had her 10 year class reunion. On Friday afternoon, Aunt Christie came all the way from California to surprise Mommy and your other bfe aunts at our house! We all screamed so loud, it woke you up from your nap...sorry! On Saturday afternoon, you got to go to a picnic and met lots of other kids. Aunt Christie was so wonderful to help out with you while Mommy and Daddy ate. On Sunday evening, we went out to Gigi and Papa's pool to swim with Lydia and Hadley. It was a cloudy evening, so hopefully we can go back again soon when it's nice and sunny!
On Monday, Mommy was really worried about you...you hadn't had a poopy diaper in a few days and I could tell your little belly was hurting you at night. I called the doctor and he said to try some water in a bottle and see if the extra fluids would help. Aunt Kim tried to give you some water while you were at her house Monday afternoon, but you weren't interested. Finally on Tuesday morning while we were getting ready to leave for the day you got down to business :) I was sooo happy, I did the poopy dance and sang Kylie and Emily's song..."Barrett's got poppy panties on, do-dah, do-dah"! Okay, so that will be embarrassing for you to read in 16 years!!
This week has been full of more baby babble, laughing and rolling all over creation! You love to explore the world on your belly. You've learned you can see more and reach more, and scoot yourself to the things you can't reach. The other day was the first time you got mad over something....You were on your blanket on the floor and had the remote control in your sight, but couldn't reach it. I could see you eyeing it, then all of the sudden you starting rocking on your belly and reaching for it and the grunting "uh, uh, uh" turned into frustrated crying. You wanted it so bad...must be from seeing your daddy with it so much!
I love you, Little Bear!

WOW! I know I just saw Barrett like four days ago, but he is getting SO BIG!! Where does the time go?!! He is such a cute little guy!! I am so happy for you both!
ReplyDeleteAnd if you ever need to talk constipation...I am there for you! Miss Gentry has had "issues" since she was born and we have been through it all! It is so NOT fun...especially for them. Makes me sad just thinking about how miserable she gets sometimes!
Anyway, it was so great to see you this weekend! We had a great time, but are still trying to get back into the swing of things around here!
